Description
A composition and method of preparing YBa2 Cu3O7-x superconductor. Addition of tin oxide containing compounds to YBCO superconductors results in substantial improvement of fracture toughness and other mechanical properties without affect on Tc. About 5-20% additions give rise to substantially improved mechanical properties.
