Description

Final Report of the PCC MODS/Dublin Core Record Utilization Task Group, charged to: (1) investigate the current use of DC and MODS by PCC libraries; (2) investigate any representation of these DC and MODS records in WorldCat, specifically noting who is contributing records, mechanisms being employed to add them into WorldCat, conformity of these WorldCat records to PCC bibliographic standards; (3) make recommendations on whether and how the Program could share records in these schemas with specific mention of how DC/MODS records in general conform to current PCC bibliographic standards (making recommendations towards addressing or accepting non-conformity), what technological issues need addressing and making recommendations for their resolution, any outstanding issues with recommendations on how they should be pursued.
